ABIO Holdings Welcomes Iacovos Charalambous as CTO — A Veteran Electrical Engineer With 38 Years of Expertise Across High, Medium & Low Voltage Systems

ABIO Holdings is proud to announce that Iacovos Charalambous has joined the executive leadership team as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With an exceptional 38-year career in electrical engineering, Iacovos brings unparalleled technical depth and strategic insight to ABIO’s rapidly expanding portfolio of renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects.

Throughout his distinguished career, Iacovos has played a leading role in the design, operation, and oversight of High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) installations—expertise that is essential to ABIO Holdings’ commitment to delivering robust, safe, and high-performance energy assets across Europe.

He previously served as Deputy CEO of the Electrical Authority of Cyprus, where he oversaw critical national electrical infrastructure, grid modernization initiatives, and large-scale system operations. His leadership contributed significantly to strengthening Cyprus’s energy reliability, technical standards, and long-term strategic planning.

As CTO of ABIO Holdings, Iacovos will lead all technical oversight functions across the Group, including engineering standards, grid integration, system design, hybridization strategies, and the technological foundation for ABIO’s solar PV, BESS, and green data center developments. His experience ensures that ABIO’s projects meet the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and engineering excellence.
